Memory lane Ron. There used to be lots of big fish in there.
Brrrr, looks cold Ron !! How many cameras do you own? There are 64 photo`s of Haigh Hall in Places in Album in wiganworld. Several show this pond--referred too as fish, goldfish and lily--is photo 18805 on page 3 (Sept.1971) taken from similar viewpoint as yours? The last photo on page 4 is very colourful. The photo beside it shows the Wigan rowing club (in 1908), which was mentioned in comments on Photo-a-Day on 5th April 2012.
Very nice photo Ron. Last time I visited, the fountain was empty, full of debris and not working. Must have another trip to Haigh Hall with my camera.
This is the first time I've ever seen the fountain working! Even when the hothouses were there it never worked. Wigan council have pulled off a minor miracle!
That view (wall) nearly threw me, a familiar thing from adifferent angle. Nice one!
