Wigan Boundary Sentinels

I`ve seen the one in top left hand corner & does it mean that Wiganer`s go round in a circle !!? Roy, whereabouts are the other two situated? My first car was a Morris Minor - a brilliant design.
The top right is on the boundary at the top of Atherleigh Way where the roads from Hindley and Bolton/Atherton meet. The car is near the Westhoughton boundary. I couldn't find one at the Aspul gate way, there's only a Cross/War memorial there. There might be something on the Cherry Gardens roundabout, I've been too busy watching traffic when I've driven round it.
Mine too Earnest, but mine was a split screen 803cc 1955 model I loved it , but like all cars of that era it was a bit of a rust bucket. Interesting pic though Roy.
the top right sculpture means if you come to wigan it will drive you round the bend ;-)
It would be excellent news to hear if the scrap metal thieves stole all of those steel monstrosities; along with that awful face that they have the cheek to call art, and those crack scratchers at the council are under the impression that it is money well spent. Hmm.
