St Catharine's spire-less

St Catharine's spire-less
As the spire is dismantled, stone by stone, the scaffolding is taken down stage by stage, for safety reasons.

What a transformation having the spire removed. Lovely weather for the workers, and all the photos are all crips and clear. Well done.

It's a good thing that St Cath's spire is being rebuilt but Wigan will not look the same without the distinctive lean!

Looks like the blue van took over the lean.

I hope they;re going to do a good job of rebuilding it and not putting some sort of modern monstrosity in its place

Spire is going back intact minus lean

You have to give much credit to the men who erected the scaffolding. A very skilful job taken for granted.
