St Catharine's spire-less
As the spire is dismantled, stone by stone, the scaffolding is taken down stage by stage, for safety reasons.

What a transformation having the spire removed. Lovely weather for the workers, and all the photos are all crips and clear. Well done.

It's a good thing that St Cath's spire is being rebuilt but Wigan will not look the same without the distinctive lean!

I hope they;re going to do a good job of rebuilding it and not putting some sort of modern monstrosity in its place

You have to give much credit to the men who erected the scaffolding. A very skilful job taken for granted.
