Really nice shot Dave, Did'nt realize there were so many geese and ducks in Mesnes Park (although I have only been in once some years ago as I live outside Wigan). Good to see that the park is being refurbished.

I love this picture. It looks as though they've all been summoned by some bell and they're all going for lunch.
The trouble with geese and swans etc, as beautiful as they are, is the mess they make all over the place with their droppings, which look like small dog poos. Other than that, I love to see them.
Great photo.

Lots of Canada Geese at Wigan Sailing Club, goose poo is a nuisance! Nice pic though. H.

Brilliant photo....this really does take me back to the fifties when our grandparents would take us to the park quite regularly. Feeding the ducks was the highlight of the week...we were so easily pleased then.

To end the year on a positive note I think the Mesnes Park improvements are a credit to all those involved. There is obviously still much to do but the park is once more looking like it did in days gone by.Thanks for all your comments.

This is a brilliant "feel good" picture -love it, wish that I had been there to see them for myself.

I love this picture! Why can't everyone just be positive and enjoy the picture, and not demean it by thinking of the mess the geese make? We all know they do, they are only attending to the "call of nature"! They do deserve to be on the planet,as do we! Maybe I got a little too mouthy,..If I did, I apologize.
.....Happy New Year everyone!
