They've spoiled the look of that bridge by putting crash barriers on it.

I wonder if they would have done that in Royal Windsor park.

Captured the Autumn colours well Harry. Can't see the point of the Armco, think it ruins a lovely bridge. Am I missing something or is it health and safety madness yet again?

I remember them barriers being put up for the RAC Rally which had a section through the plantations in the 80s and 1997 Mick, they do look a bit out of place,good photo Harry.

i reckon its to stop the tractor from blocking whelley loop line if it crashed .

Thanks for your comments all. I must agree with you about the barriers spoiling the look of the bridge, I was informed that the stonework is going to be repointed next year and the railings repainted. David I also remember taking photos of the rally in 1983 and 1984, I think the Audi Quatro had just come into production. H.
