looks nice now,but have noticed on the approach to the island from wigan black flower container on island just in wrong place for line of sight to see cars/indicators from cars approaching from aspull,accident waiting to happen?

That's an improvement from the last photo,just shows what few bad comments and an article in a local paper can do.peterp your right, I'm glad someone else as noticed that flower pot may get moved next week with a bit of luck.

Can someone tell me where in Aspull this is ?. I left Aspull back in 1983, I was born on Crawford Ave 1947 and it looks very much like the Ave, down the bottom where there was two pit shafts, was there once a playground for the kids here.

Walt the clock and flower beds are at the bottom of Haigh Road on your your left just after the clinic facing the cenotaph.The houses in the photo is the top end of crawford ave opp the clinic.

Walt has you come out of wigan to aspull there is a large traffic island(finger post)just past this on your left is the clock near to a row of shops

Walt - it's in the angle between Scot Lane, which is behind the photographer, and Haigh Road. The Council houses on Crawford Avenue are visible through the trees.

Yes Walt that is Crawford Ave in the back ground,there is a new playground for the kids there. the clock is where the Christmas tree used to be,the betting shop is on the right of the picture!
