View from Haigh Hall
Photo: Dan Highton (Canon EOS 500D)
You need to be a little higher...better shot would have been near the kiddies play area, it's much higher.
There always has to be one to post a negative comment. It's a great photo Dan and which I'm sure will be much appreciated by many who now reside in other countries and haven't seen this vista for years.
Well done Dan, great picture, thanks for posting.
That is a beautiful shot Dan...it does my eyes good.
Although I have not been there for a long time I immediately knew where this taken. A question though; is this not a golf course?
Cyril, I don`t understand why you say that John`s comment is negative. It surely is meant to be constructive.
Notice those beautiful clouds that we see over Wigan. For the information of Billy J. I used a 2x yellow filter with Panatomic X to accentuate the clouds.
That's a cracking view when it's clear. You can see all the way to Wales. Brings back some memories that photo.
What a great photo, It almost looks like a foreign country. Would love to see some photos of Ashton in Makerfield where I grew up... don't get up there very often anymore. You're so lucky in Wigan to have a great park like Haigh Hall and the nearby Lever Estates for days out etc. Wish I lived closer to Lacashire!!!
