Flats

Lightening strips?
Not a pretty sight, IMHO
Can you view those CCTV cameras are or they just for the security companys
And don't forget a jail sentence for some people in there Brian.
Boyswell House - the last 'tall flats' built in Wigan - (1970?)
A very ugly building but I suppose its home to some folk.
did 3yrs in them flats .not every one who lives in boyswell house have a police record john . so i think its wrong too tar people with the same brush.
Looks like a scene from War of The Worlds.
i think john meant can be a lonely place for some. Because of handle of shot looks like a very tall lamp-post
I think wigans flats make the skyline. Whenever i go up to Rivington i can easily spot wigan
Sorry Cullie, and thanks Peterp, I meant some people were put in there as tempory accommodation but have spent years in them.
When my daughter was about 3 years old she always wanted to live in those flats !!! Golden oldies on here may remember a childrens TV programme called Mary,Mungo and Midge which was filmed in a high rise tower and that is why she wished she lived there.
Wouldn't like to clean the windows on the 12th floor!!
Wigan council haven't allowed the public access to their security cameras...and there's no decent webcams in the town.Pity as the view from those cameras would be superb.
I think these flats are the nicer ones! Probably because the are built with bricks and not concrete.
