It's lovely to see these photos of Wigan as i have not been for years,but very sad to see the nasty comments!
Nice set of photo's, Brian. As someone said the other day, it is also good to compare to see how our ancestors dressed in the early 1900's from the many photos of Wigan on here.

If memory serves , there was a Smith's stationer's in the centre, but it wasn't part of the WH Smith group.
