Great shot there Jeff.
I too was influenced by Kenny Boy Rockwell - re D40, when I was looking for one on *bay several sellers wrote they were selling to upgrade to a D90.
So I bought a D90 through *bay of a bloke in Haydock

Tom Hogan - a well respected photographer/writer on all things Nikon, is also impressed by the D40. bythom.com

The d40 is a good camera but not without its foibles, its matrix metering system is far from perfect. It does teach you to think before you press the shutter button though.
