The Power of Advertising
Have you been up here on your holidays again Dave
Was this the shoe shop previously?
It used to be H.H Timberlakes, car sales, petrol station etc.
The corner where the door and two windows are was as open area diagonally. and that is where the Petrol Pumps stood. -- There is a picture in 'Stuff'
Morning Mick,I had a week in Shevvy last month.Managed to get to Southport,Martin Mere and Manchester.
Wasn't Timberlake's on the other side of the road in what is now a carpet shop?
Timberlakes showroom used to be in what is now the carpet shop, does anyone remember the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow they had on display, as Freda says the other side of the road was the petrol station/garage.
very good photo, marcus has done a fantastic job on converting the shop ,it was bag haven before that and the lady who rented it didnt do much to the front. Before that it was part of wallpaper supplies, before that it was part of an indoor market section with different traders, before that it was wallpaper supplies again ,before that timberlakes show room, before that waste land (1912)
