Photo-a-Day (Friday, 10th September, 2010)
Fence fail
I have noticed that these pics that are being put on wigan world recently are'nt very appealing, I mean i looked through the other day and saw a pic of a round-about. We as users need more variety not randomness, All in all not good. Sorry.
Message for Phil and Dan.
Feel free to send photo-a-day contributions to brian@wiganworld.co.uk
Thanks.
I enjoy the wide varety of photos in this section including the caterpillar. It is good that all levels of snappers are given the chance to be included.
Dont talk wet Phil and if you dont like them get out and take some yourself and send them like Brian suggests.
I like this photo it show me that tree as fallen down in the plantations and broke the metal fence.
Now if I was looking at Wiganworld I wouldnt have know that.
I think the way images appear adventitiously on wiganworld is an attractive feature. Incidentally, where is this bridge?
I think the contributors to these photos are very good photographers, it is the first thing I look at when I enter the site. If you don't like them, see if others like yours.
I love them,Ive looked at them all from day one.
Phil I think the photo your refering to was the pencils one , taken by myself ,the roundabout was 100yds away, the photo was depicting the school crossing ,the pencils warning oncoming motorists whats wrong with that???.
Good photo Brian ,a lot of trees in the plantations are in a bad way.
Is this the bridge over the River Douglas>
Whilst admitting I have my favourites, every day,I start my day with photo a day and enjoy looking at each and every one..
Thanks to all who take the time to post photo's for our enjoyment. !!
The photos and the whole website is is fantastic and we have to thank Brian for his time and effort for presenting whats on view here, there are plenty of other websites to choose from, so if you don't like whats posted on this site tough because you are the minority. Keep up the good work Brian !
The tree looks as though it has been sawn off instead of a break. It's agood job nobody was walking by at the time
Not a day goes by without I look at photo-a-day. If I have been on holiday, the first thing I do when I get back is catch up with the photo's. I don't always comment but I have yet to see a bad one. Well done to all who contribute. The album part is another favourite.
That railing didn't stand a chance against the tree!.
Looking at photo-a day is part of my daily routine, I wouldn't miss it! It's a bit more than that though, it is a contact with Wigan, which I left many years ago, but which I still think of as home.
like a lot of others on this website i to look at photo a day first there are a lot of clever photographers on this website and i would like to thank them keep doing the good work thank you
I think Phil is having us all on, surely he isnt as bad as he sounds !! Lighten up phil If these photos are all you worry about then you are a lucky man !
God shot of a nice tree that was.
Where did you dig "adventitiously"
Phil check up on the use of apostrophes.Sorry if I'm being trivial.
Phil this is life boy and it's not all a bunch of roses. Well done all you photographers...
Mick, You are as pathetic as the person you endeavour to demean.
Great photo Brian, keep up the good work.
Sorry Syd seems you missed the point, i.e. being trivial.
At the risk of repetition,my first attention daily goes to WW and photo a day. This is my only contact with the area now, so all pictures and picture-makers are greatly appreciated in a small town in Mid-Western Ontario.
Good one Brian.Phil, see what youve done.Stirred them all up.
great photo dad, i think they need a new fence to go there!
