Great shot, lovely looking bird. I assume this is the Blue Heron.

When we were boating I always said that my holiday had not begun until I saw a heron. Beautigul bird & good photographer.

Nice shot John, the bird is a grey Heron, the Great Blue Heron is a large wading bird in the heron family, common near the shores of open water and in wetlands over most of North and Central America as well as the West Indies and the Galápagos Islands. It is a rare vagrant to Europe.
