I prefer to ride over the bridge on the right, it's less stressful and much better scenery....and of course no traffic chaos.

Natural versus man made. The stone railway bridge supports have stood the test of time, whereas the reinforced concrete supports of the motorway are now all deterioating, as you've shown on the forum Mick, crumbling away - after what - forty six years?

The Railway bridge goes over the canal, but why is there two bridge sections.?

John, the first section goes over the River Douglas, the second one over the canal.
