Photo: John Harrison (PENTAX K100D Super, 1/45Sec. on F6.7.)
Another lovely bird and a good shot John.
Beautiful song bird especially spring and early summer, the male all black with it's orange- yellow bill and eye-ring. The female (seen behind) all brown.
Great shot John...how close are you?
Nice one John.
a nice family shot of a much
maligned bird.
Good close up John.

Hi Colin I was about 20 to 30 Feet away, with a 60 to 300mm [sigma] Zoom lens. The bird at the back is one of its chicks. Thsnks to all for your kind words.
You're not allowed to call them b***kbirds anymore. You have to say 'coloured'birds or 'darkfeathered'birds.
A few years ago, I used to see an albino one around here, but no longer, has anyone else seen any lately
What a Great photo John..I love to see the Blackbirds in our Garden.
Aitch, was you in Cockoo land.
