Good photo Stewart, Im sure Ive seen one on Wiganworld before that was taken of the same place by David Devine and also from a plane.

great. took me a minute to get my bearings. Mesnes road at the bottom and spencer road running alonst parallel.

Stewart superb picture, David Devine never did a shot over this particular place, I have seen every single shot that he took from aircraft and this was not one of them,

Great pic, lived in Wigan and surrounding areas for 40 years before moving to Canada 30 years. Never knew this reservoir existed. You do learn something new every day.

born on swinley lane,went to st.michaels school. Its a lot of years ago since I was there but i cannot for the life of me find my bearings at all.!! Brilliant picture.

Jean,it's a lot more Whitley than Swinley.1OO yards to the right along the lower road in the photo [Mesnes rd] is the Cherry Gardens roundabout.
