The Early Bird
Photo: Dan Highton (Sony DSLR-A230)
Got younguns to feed, the starling is also known as a sturnus vulgaris. (sheppy) Good photp Dan.
I don't know why some folks hate starlings as they are beautiful birds especially when the sunlight catches the irridescence on their feathers, they turn a wonderful bluey green, and they are excellent songsters too. Great photo Dan, looks like she's got a leather jacket and a worm.
I agree with Cyril, another plus is that starlings must be one of the cleanest garden birds. We have two bird baths and they are in them every day.
This is the early photographer that catches the early bird catching the worm. Excellent shot
Profound statement by Derek, good photo, Dan. Tells it all.
Stunning.
fantastic picture.how long did you have to wait to catch this one ? You must have a lot of patience.
Thanks for the comments. I was lucky enough to have my camera with me and just happened to catch it at the time so didnt have to wait long for it.
