Rear of Hall
Where are the bluebells?
Spring is here...although it doesn't feel like it!
That's lovely! Haigh Hall holds special memories of childhood, travelling down through the plantations on the "tractor" on sunny Sunday afternoons; you could go into the hall then and I recall a room with a big glass cabinet full of musical instruments. That was it in our childhood.....Haigh Hall or Wigan Park on Sundays, and half a day at Southport a couple of times a year.
I have fond memories of walking to Haigh Hall,up the canal towpath.I remember seeing various weapons of war and armour at the hall upstairs in a long gallery.Wonder what happened to it all.
The bluebells are running behind 3 weeks it said on the tele, latest they've been since 95.
Bluebells, dont they like a wooded area?
Thanks so much for this; I've been waiting all winter for my favorite flowers!! And we've had such a mild winter in our part of Ontario, that I saw some in bud today, just along the street.
To Jean,
If the bluebells are running behind same as 95, hopefuly there might be a long hot summer ahead, I remember that summer what a scorcher !! :-D
My Favorite flowers and Wigan looks so good in them. Don't get them like that in Australia
