Snowbound
Beautiful shot, Joseph.
Are there no shelters at the train stations such as this one? (Just curious)
Still snowbound ,at least there;s light at the end of the tunnel. We can see the way out.
It's as simple as this Sheeda, some have, some haven't.Larger stations yes,on minor ones,it's the luck of the draw.

Sheda although Britain as been so called developed for hundreds of years we still arnt as modern and up to date as countries like yours.
On some of these stations your lucky if the lights are working at night and if they are they will be very dim.
Not a good day to travel anyway!!
Obviously a station for fair weather travellers!!!
That really is a beautiful Photo!
You Wiganers, have certainly had your fair share of snow this winter.
Certainly does make for some breathtaking photographs.
"stay warm" and keep smiling.
In 1966 there used to be a small wooden shelter on this side heading for Liverpool but on the other side heading towards Wigan was a brick building complete with station clock. The station opened in 1848.
I just had to comment on this one. Fantastic.
The big thaw this weekend or so they say, heavy rain, next thing we'll get will be flood warnings.I suppose there's worse,Syd and A.Parr get the bush fires and the reptiles etc, Sheeda gets the very high humidity.Nowhere's perfect!!
Thank you all for your comments. I'm clear now. Have a good day!
used to be one hr ince station yobos burnt it down.
Pemberton Station has tiny ' bus stop' style shelters. Although they offer little in the way of shelter, especially on the side of the track for going to Liverpool
