Where in Aspull was this pic taken?
Also what was the time?

Comment by: Ron D on 26th December 2009 at 09:44

Ken, The gable end is the Queens Hotel. Time. Some time after dark last week, near the finger post.

Lovely pic, as always on photo-a-day. All the best for Christmas and the New Year to all the Wigan World "Family"!

Merry Christmas and all the best for 2010 to everyone. Thanks to everyone who has had photos on here this year. They've all been a little breath of home for me.

Hi Ron,
Is this the Queens Head Hotel? If so which gable end, I was born only a quarter mile from the finger post, bur this is baffling me.

Photo's taken looking towards wigan isn't it Ron?

Ken .The Christmas tree is on the moor . Then Bolton Rd, then the gable of the Queens head . Carry on past the pub to Wigan. Sorry but there is a pub in Aspull called the Queens, as well as the Queens Head.

Thanks Ron, I had just been staring ai the pic and realised that you must have been somewhere on Bolton Rd, near were the Running Horses used to be.
Thks Ken.
