Photo: Brian (Fuji Finepix S7000)
I think that a Council Department works from there now
Mesnes Road surely, this can't be Mesnes Street! still no idea what it is!
Is it...Keep Britain Tidy??
"Keep Britain Tidy" is in Pottery Road. It's called "Encams" now. But sorry I can't help with the photo.
Is this site where 'the huts' used to be?
Its still involved with the medical exams as the old huts used to be, what the rest of the building is for I dont know, a friend had to go there a couple of years ago, and I took him, parked ont galleries and walked there
It's used by the DSSS to assess peoples fitness for work.
It is a Department of Social Security office, it is where you go for your medical examinations if you are hurt at work or wanting to claim disability, incapacity or mobility benefits.
Brian is right Roy,it is Mesnes Street.
Ok Maureen,I stand corrected.
I used to work there in the late 60's/ early 70's when it was the District Valuation Office.
