Photo: Brian (Fuji Finepix S7000)
Home thoughts from abroad!!! Love these pics, Brian. Thank you for that.
My sentiments exactly Tricia! much appreciated Brian.
Hey, Trish,
This will always be home, no matter where you live or where you have travelled. Join the 'Save Wigan' campaign. You are wanted.!!
You're right there Fred. It's been 35 years since I last lived in Wigan and my parents aren't alive any more so the "pull" is less, nevertheless Wigan will always be "home". Lots of happy memories!
If I wanted to be reminded of Wigan when Im along way from home I would pick a better view that that to do it.
I remember many years ago when talking about a holiday we'd had abroad and how beautiful it was there, my dad saying "even Wallgate is lovely when the sun's shining".
Yes i have to agree with Mick, theres much better images of Wigan than Wallgate.
Be it ever so humble, Mick, there's no place like home
no matter how the pitcure loooks to others if it holds special memories to some it will always pull at the heart strings..
good un this photo it shows that wigan council have driven all shoppers away from wigan due the stuped bye laws
wow ,this brings back the 50`s memories....just how i remember it, Used to work in an opticians ,half way up on the right hand side .Forgotten the name ....bet its not there now !!
LOve all these "old" photo`s.
There's a older photo almost identical to that shot in Wigan World Album. Goes to show how little some parts of Wigan have changed.
