Not amused
Photo: Brian (Fuji Finepix S7000)
The building is still looking good, why is it gonna be demolished? Im interested to know.
I like this big head but I think it should have been located where more people can see it and not up a back alley.
omg they are knocking everything down, whats the reason they are taking the childrens library away? no wonder the face is sad, i used to love going to that library as a kid
Allways leave some one in your house when you go out, knowing Wigan council past and present they will knock it down if they think your house is empty, They have knocked everything down thats been any good in this town, Labour Councils have done absolutely nothing for this town only demolish everything thats been any good, The sooner we get rid of them the better, also in the future we will now get a tiny swimming pool instead of an international size. This council are in cuckoo land,
I agree with Mick, I like this big head, and it should be located in a better place where we can all see it, it is in a bad place there, and is a wasted talent.
A quick reminder that the old Millgate prison cells are under the front of the library.Like the photo Brian,it's better than my attempt.
Wonder where the artist conjured that face up from?
Looking at it the photo showing all the full face from a slight angle I have seen that face before, it is the spit of a death mask of a notorious (in)famous executed criminal and I can't just bring to mind who.
It's the spit! what a coincidence?
I would also get rid that big half a head....Its "Orrible"..Who the hell is it?Who gave permission for it? My grand kids are terrified of it!!!!
i love this photo! especialy the face
the head with as much appeal as the St Helens "Dream" - both a waste of space!!!
I'd rather see the natural beauty of a mighty English oak or willow tree taking shape over the years I hope to come!
With ref. to Fert's comments about the infamous criminal, it reminnds me of that 1960s mugshot of Moors Murderer Ian Brady that was in all the papers at the time. Anyway, it's feyer than t'gas-bill.....what are the council thinking of?!
Has it got owt to do wi Wigin. Thats what I want to know.
Why knock a good building down, some councillor must have his eye on the land !!!!Viv in OZ
It's diabolical that the council got away with knocking that new building down to make way for the giant 'glass house'!
The face that launched a thousand quips is 'pig ugly'!
