At last, the lodge house in Mesnes Park is being restored after years of neglect.

It's a crying shame how many of Wigan's outstanding buildings have been allowed to fall into rack and ruin. If they had been on the opposite side of the Atlantic Ocean they would have been classed as national monuments.

Unfortunately, in America we tear down old buildings, too... Glad to see that they are restoring this one.

If it is going to be a Mosque, at least its being put to good use, rather than being left like the ruin its been for decades!!

good to see its being restored , it would have been criminal to knock it down .
