wor a bleedin shame, not because of the demise of the pub, but the dereliction of a fine building

So sad to see such another great pub go to rack and ruin. Iused to drink there during the 70s, then on to the beer keller. What happened to it.

Another good building going under Wigan Council's demolition hammer I suppose ? When will they wake up ?

What has it to do with the council Helen, they don't own it!

If somebody wants to buy it and do it up they can! Not a great location but the anvil does well - could be a good b&B

Sad to see it like that had many a pint in there, Christmas do's and one of the best Jazz festival gigs down stairs watching the Honeythives in the 90s. That was when the Jazz festival was good and all around the town centre in pubs and clubs day & night.
