A Grand Day Out
H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and H.R.H. Prince Philip arrive at Wigan at the start of their visit to the town on the 21st May 2009, celebrating the 50th anniversary of H.J. Heinz at Kitt Green and the official opening of Leigh Sports Village.

I wonder if them two royal hanging baskets are still there this morning.

My uncle Ernie worked for many years at the Heinz plant ... we always had plenty of "beans" ...

How nice for Wigan to receive a 'royal treatment' ...
