Look, no hands!

Look, no hands!
Only 2 of the 4 statues on the canal remain, sadly, they have both been vandalised.

Its a pity we cant herd all those mindless vandals together and put them on board a prison ship tow it out to sea, provide them with the basic rations to survive and leave them to it.Or would that cause uproar amongst our human rights activists ?

I was born in Wigan in 1936 and left in 1973. The worst vandalism and crime that I remember is kids taking eggs from birds' nests.
I look at Wigan World every day, the photos and the news. I am delighted with the wonderful photos, and the comments that they attract (thank you), however, I am devastated to read the news page. What has happened to my home
town ???

From Alan, on a far away Pacific Island.

This is a sad picture perhaps all the sculptures should now be inside somewhere or in the foyer to a new building, these kids need NATIONAL SERVICE !! Or its some work they want, thats what my dad used to say.
Idle hands !
