my grandad died 1918 in france,world war 1,cpl edward dainty,lancashire fuselier's.Me and my son patrick where the only family member's ever to go to france and find his grave.

my dad teddy was only six weeks old when my grandad was killed in action in france ww1 so we took photos of my dad and mum with his medals placed them on his grave and videode them

My husbands grandad Evan Halsall is also on this memorial, He was injured at Galipolli and died at the field hospital on Lemnos Island.Off the coast of Greece and Turkey We are the only family to have been over and found the grave.
We buried a piece of Wigan Coal as he was a miner in Ince.

my grandfather james howard was killed june 26 1916 and is buried in fricourts france he was 36y.his wife lily died a year later leaving 4 children,my dad william was the youngest went into an orphage at 4 y.he was rescude by his sister nellie when he was 16y.
my grandfather when killed was in the 10bn lancs. fusliers and was from Wigan anyone know the family?
