No...its correct, The broader (wider) diagonal white stripe should be at the top left hand side of the flag nearest the flagpole.

Earnest, I think you will find that is a depiction of the original british flag, which was like the one in the picture.

Stuart,it appears to me that the flagpole is out of sight on the right. Both stripes on top left, then, are the same width. If the flagpole was on the left, then the lower stripe is wider.

Looking at it again,I think the angle of the flag and the angle of the sign may have messed with my eyes a bit ( work night shift and commented after a 12 hour night ) They , the white stripes on top, do look the same.My apologies for my previous comment.
