loverly photo harry i do like old biuldings
Where in Haigh are these Harry ?
Ian, The easiest way to tell you is,
from the Hall, over the canal, cross
the bridge over the old railway line, then tun right, only a few yards, follow the track over the little bridge, after about 100 yards
there are some steps on your right.
Alms Houses are at the top on the left.
Are they still in use as alms houses of a sort? Good photograph she 44.
Hi. Ian again, you can also go up Brockmill Lane into Hall Lane.
They are about 700 yards (ish)
before Hall Lane lodge entrance
to the Plantations.

Hi. Dave, I wouldn,t think so.

Thanks Harry
One of my ancestors Thomas Dyke) lived in one of these Almshouses in 1871 - nice to be able to see them. Thanks so much.
Steph, I'm interested in hearing more about the people who lived in the almshouses. Do you know much about your ancestor Thomas who lived there?
