Bodger
A handsome young feller, but what on earth is a bodger ?
A Bodger is a pole-lathe turner - making struts and legs for chairs, amongst other things.
Some info here...

Hi Dave. A picture to make you smile.(I was still recovering from yesterday's photo) :o)
And if I remember my woodwork class at The Linacre, the bodger is using a spokeshave,Dave.
i know that chappie, big don whiting from st helens, he's also an expert with a bow and arrow.
I've photographed him at a few events now - nice chap.
yes dave he is a grand fellow, he's been on tv on numerous occasions showing his skills.
I sat and nattered with him a good hour at the open day.He is a lovely lovely man.He made a double ended drumstick for a lady who played irish drums while she waited, and unlike some other stands that day........he didn't charge her a penny.
i know him! haha
Poor chap, you say he comes from st helens, i know what you mean, not much upstairs.
The man is actually using a draw-knife, not a spoke-shave.( and yes, many people continue to look at the older plctures.
