Not the only eyesore on this photo,Brocal House is hardly a thing of beauty!!
How sad, once it meant something to a lot of people. I once sang there with the choir from school
it probably won't get sorted until the housing market recovers as well!
I think it's a great photograph.Makes you wonder how long mother nature would take to reclaim the land if we were not here.
I beleive it is about 50 years before Mother Nature could reclaim herself back to her natural self again.
Knowing wigan council, they will let it become totally dilapidated so that they justify knocking it down like they have done with many a beautiful buildings in and around the town and then build some more much needed apartments (I don't think so) They should start renovating the old mayors chambers now instead of throwing money at things like the dreadful grand arcade.
Are they doing anything to the building to at least make sure it remains 'safe'?
makes you wish you could win the lottery to save the land and buildings neglected by our town / borough councils!
