A larger photo than the one I previously uploaded, this shows the Officers of the 76th County of Lancaster (Golborne) Home Guard.
As many of the Officers are from the UpHolland area, I can only think that the UpHolland platoon was part of this Battalion, and not the Wigan Battalion, also featured on this site.
I do have some names, so if you think you recognise anyone, please ask.

Is this a pic of the contest to see who could get his forage cap to the greatest angle before it fell off?

What do you think the right ear was for, if not to stop the forage cap falling off? Look at the angles of the berets on my photo' of the Loyals in Calais in 1947, under Army in Assorted.

What happened in September 1940 whereby two home guard of that (Golborne) 76th were killed?
