I remember when I got a job at Boots in 1992 .....going round the new Market Stalls in my dinner hour and thinking how lovely the new Galleries buildings were, with loads of people shopping, and seeing all the lovely colourful hanging baskets on the walls. Morrison's was thriving and I will never understand why it closed down as it was always packed and so handy being near the bus station for people who didn't have a car. If someone had told me that it would all be demolished within thirty years I would have thought they were mad.
