The distinctive Magirus-Deutz radiator badge, imprinted with a nail. It is this which leads me to conclude the model was made by a German, and probably a PoW. It's unlikely that a British amateur model-maker of the time would put a German trade-mark on his model. Given when this trade-mark came into use (1938), it would probably be unknown over here anyway. Note the registration number seen here - EK 035, which would not have been issued here in that form - it would have been a simple EK 35, without the zero. EK is one of Wigan's sets of registration letters - which leads me to suppose it was made in a camp or billet in the area.
