The book given to my father William Bradshaw for
'regular attendence' at the Christians' Meeting House, Mitchell Street, Newtown, in 1922, he would have been about 16yrs old.
The secretary was J.H.Jayne, Think that was John Jayne, there are some pics of him in the album somewhere. Many years later I remember meeting his grandson (?) Brent Jayne at my Aunty Annie's house/shop in Billinge road.

Hi there Helen, his name was Joseph Henry and Brent was his son. He was born late in life so there was a big gap between the girls Hadrian and Bernice and Brent. Brent's full name was Brent, Camron, Kirk. The Kirk was after Mr Kirk Wilson, a noted surgeon and a friend of the Jaynes

No Helen, that was Joe's brother Roy. He and his wife joined the Jehovah's Witnesses and left Mitchell Street.taking their family with them. Roy was a miner all his life at Stones pit where Uncle John Bradshaw was manager.
