What a lovely picture and of the time. Now great grandmothers are about 50 and still working full time!!

I don't know the lady or her great grandson but this is the fourth time I have come back for a look at this beautiful picture. The first time I saw it, it brought a tear to my eye. I hope the baby who is now a man treasures this picture and keeps it for future generations to see. It is a lovely family keepsake.

Well well well. The baby in the picture is me! The lady i am with is my mums (Eileen nee Greenwood), grandmother. As the caption suggests, it was taken around 1976 as i was born in 1975. It would be nice to able to say that i remember 'Mother Jackson', but sadly she died whilst i was still very young (a year or so after this photo).
The photo was taken by Arthur Jackson, her son, and is sadly no longer in the possession of my family
