Our wedding, January 26th 1974. It was foggy. My husband says it's been foggy ever since! The inset photo is at the reception...they are not our children, honest!

Thankyou, Helen, but the face is thirty-six years older now, unfortunately!

Its a great wedding photo, your outfit looks amazing!!

Oh Dennis, you little tinker! I'm afraid those smooth cheeks have lines you could drive a tram down now, but after seeing the miserable faces,(despite their wealth and fame), on the likes of Victoria Beckham and these so-cslled "celebs",I've decided I'd rather have lines through laughing than no lines through NOT laughing, wouldn't YOU?

Thankyu, gee h. My sister-in-law made it and it cost.....wait for it.....£4! I also had a parasol made at Coleclough and Massey, for which I still have the receipt. The whole outfit went many years ago, being used in numerous plays etc at Abram School.

Hi Irene this is a lovely picture you look beautiful and remind me of your cousin who is my Aunty Joyce, she also has really dark hair and big beautiful dark eyes.

Hello, Michelle, and thankyou for your comment and lovely compliment. You are our Doreen's daughter, aren't you? I took some photos of you for your family when you were a baby living at Uncle Jimmy's and Auntie Harriet's in Ince. I have put Uncle Jimmy's photo on (under "people", then "Griffiths",). Please give my love to all the family. Irene.x.

Hello Peter Roberts, you seem to be left out of all this gossip, "typical of woman" eh.

Hi Irene yes I'm Doreen's daughter its nice to speak to you and how great that you remember me as a baby at my Nan and Grandads and even took pics how strange is that - I wonder where the pics went to I dont think my Mum has them....can you remember roughly how old I would have been I have'nt seen any pics of me as a baby only a few we have from when I was about 3 then the rest we have I am older.

Hello Michelle, Ican't remember just how old you were, but I'd say around 5-7 months. You weren't a newborn baby but you weren't crawling either, The memory plays tricks as time passes, but I THINK it was our William, (Billy), who asked if I would take them. I worked in a chemists at the time and had them developed there and brought them to your Grandad's, and they came out really well. Photos sadly go missing, Michelle, during clearouts, house moves etc. as I know to my cost.I'm so glad we've been able to share the photos we've got due to this site. x.
