That's my father (Jack Bowen), third in from the left, listening intently no doubt to the great Jim Sullivan, second in from the right. Just in front of dad and sitting on the kit box where the footballs were kept, is the Australian Harry Sunderland, a great Rugby League entrepreneur and worth a book on his own.

Just for the record, it's not Mick Sullivan but Jim Sullivan, Mick came along some 20 years after this photo. Left to right Tom Carty (kit man), Ike Jones, Jack Bowen, Ossie Jones, next looks like Tommy Bradshaw but it isn't (it's too early) can't recall the name, then it's Jim Sullivan and finally I think it's Billy Woods but I'm not quite sure.

A somewhat belated post. the supposed “Tommy Bradshaw” was in fact Clifford Little who it appears never played for the first team.
