My Grandparents on my mother'side. They lived in School st Scholes. Photo would have been taken around 1958 - 60, around walking day time. This was when we would visit them.

Hi John, my Gt Grandfather Gomer Carter lived on School Street when he was married and his mother Jane died on School Street in the early thirties. He had brothers John Robert and Thomas and sisters Mary, Annie and Agnes. Any link? Barry.

This was my great uncle, my mum’s uncle Gomar, My grandma was his sister Annie Carlisle. I used to like Ruth Elsden and have looked for her on Facebook. My great grandmother was Jane Kendrick from North Wales, how lovely to hear from you!

I remember as a child visiting Gomer's brother Tom. He lived in a two up two down around Scholars area. He had an old organ in his front room and always challenged me to think of something he couldn't play by ear. I never managed it.
I didn't realise at that time he was my grandfather's brother. Gomer died in 1939. Gomer Kendrick and Jane Kendrick were, I think from Holywell.

The name Carlisle is familiar. I remember an Eveline Carlisle quite well. Last saw her in mesnes in Wigan but was never quite sure as a child who she was.
