The first photo on the left, is of Joe Miller who played for Wigan Rugby Team 1907-1919. He represented England 1909-1911and Great Britain 1911. He played 163 games for Wigan and scored 133 tries, including one goal, a great try ratio per game. The second photo shows him with his daughter on her wedding day.
Both photos were black and white prints, I’ve tried to colourise them with varying degrees of success, for some reason red colours(in b/w prints) nearly, but not always, seem to become blue after colourisation. This is a problem when it comes to the Wigan side, they nearly always look like they are wearing Halifax colours and I feel the Lancashire colours worn by Joe, should perhaps be red and white.
His daughter, Miss Evelyn Miller, married Keith Dodson at St John’s Church, Pemberton in 1952.
Joe was highly rated by connoiseurs of the game at one time, and he formed part of the legendary Wigan back line of Leytham, Jenkins, Todd and Miller - long believed to be the greatest back line ever to represent the club and with good reason.

Thanks as always for uploading that, Keith. I definitely remember Lancashire rugby league teams in the fifties played in narrow red and white hoops as in the photo. I always thought at the time they seemed more like a rugby union strip. I know nothing about colourising but I can see that at least a small section below Joe's right shoulder has come out red and white..

Good looks certainly run in the family. Colourisation gives the photo a ‘zing’..as well.

Always good to see these greats of the past continued to be remembered. Of course I suppose that that Rugby League was still know as Northern Union in those days hence the similar jerseys.
