Here's a similar scooter pictured and sold for £207 in 2012, wonder how much it would be worth when restored?
I had a 1950s Lambretta scooter that I used for going to work on in 1970, until this bloke from another department asked for a spin to the bottom of the road and saying his car insurance would cover him, he took it further and wrapped it around the front of a van - his insurance didn't cover it and he refused to pay for damage to both scooter and van. The van owners were chasing me until they took the man to court and I was fined for aiding and abetting him too.
Further to my other post - There was a Prima for sale in 2013 with a guide price of £1.500 to £2.000. Though it mustn't have sold. Mmm it would be handy for nipping out on to get a few messages.
I don't know what happened to the auction links, however, here is the one that needed restoration and sold in 2012 for £207. https://www.bonhams.com/auction/20254/lot/57/1956-nsu-150cc-prima-d-frame-no-2040955-engine-no-3280628/

Lovely photo of your mum Derek. They look like twins.
The girl at the back looks so much like my late friend Irene McGovern ..it's uncanny.
They are definitely twins they’re like ‘two peas in a pod’ as they say. Very typical of the early sixties photo.
An NSU Prima, launched in 1953
We have a very similar period photo of my mother-in-law and her pal, sat on a Vespa GS…. now that would be worth a bob or two nowadays…..
Derek, which one of the girls is your Mum?Was there a Joan in the family? I worked with Joan Ormesher at Heinz in the sixties when she emigrated to Australia. Will this be the same Family?
My mum Jean is sat at the front. Sorry but I really don’t have any information at all about the Ormesher family.
