He is buried in a Kinane family grave in Wigan Cemetery, Lower Ince. A transcription error made him difficult to find - he is down as Michael Speakman, rather than Richard. The record also states he was Killed at Great Yarmouth (his ship was a requisitioned deep sea trawler). Naval records state he Died On War Service, which would indicate he was not Killed in Action.

Hi Rev David Long, yes he is buried with the Kinane family
he is my great grandmother Ethel Kinane nee Speakmans first son, he is buried with his family. I visit often.
He was not killed in action he was accidentally killed by a crew mate.
