Hi Edna,
I believe their brother Edward Scally was Pauline's grandfather.
Her grandfather died in WW1

I love seeing these old family pics.
Live couldn't have been easy for these ladies but look at those spotless lace curtains....I always wonder how they cleaned those black dresses ?! Nice to see all these pics Kevin.

Hi, My Great Grandma is the lady in the middle (Margaret), who married George Brown. My grandmother (who we called mother) was one of their children. Her name was Elizabeth Brown and she married Thomas Carter. They had four children: Thomas (my dad), Veronica, Frank and John Carter

Hello My Father Francis Farrell was one of Mary Ann Scally’s sons with Thomas Farrell. I think there were 5 sons. My Dad was the eldest, then Tommy, John, Gerard, and Patrick..
I attended St Patrick’s School Scholes from 1960. Peter Farrell - Andy Farrell’s Father also attended Saint Pats. He was two years younger. Does anyone know what Peter Farrell’s Father was called? Was it John Gerard or Patrick ?

The ladies of my grandmother’s generation they always wore long black skirts it must have saved a lot of washing.

My Grandma used to wear a dress like this but covered by a pinny on week days. She would take me to Sunday School every week and out would come her "Sunday Best". Her hair would be drawn tightly back into a bun and she would wear a little black hat fastened in place by hat pins. I was always worried watching her put her hat on in case she stabbed herself with the pins. Summer and winter she would wear a long black coat, almost but not quite as long as her dress and a pair of black gloves, and she would carry a black handbag. Grandma always had toffees in her bag and if I was good she would give me one on the way home. If I close my eyes I can see her as clearly as if it was yesterday although it's a memory from nearly 80 years ago.

Hi Conventgirlkath,

I believe it was Patrick Terrance.

I messaged you via Ancestry around 2021, but didn't get a response from you.
