Daniel, I am sure that there is a kind person on WW who is a whizz kid at tidying old pics who could improve this image if only digitally .
Its a really interesting photo as it doesn't look as if it was taken in a studio .

True, but I actually think that this isn’t the whole photo but unfortunately the other half was lost.

The lady....Ann, looks too relaxed to have been in a studio....also the chair looks like a household item.
Wouldnt it have been interesting to have seen the missing part of the photo ? We can only wonder who else was there to make her smile !

The state of It makes me wonder if it was carried by her young man (husband) during the war. We may never know….it does look as if it was cut to size.

as if its cut, for a picture frame perhaps. The young woman has a lovely natural smile.
