Item #: 26449
The Farrimonds. Back row left is Emanuel, born 1889, died 1928 aged 39. Middle back is Polly. (Mary) Back right could Henry junior or Charlie. Front left is Selina, front right is Henry (born 1863 died 1915 aged 52. The girl in the middle is unknown.
The Farimonds must have been a fairly prosperous family, they are all very well dressed ,and even the young girl wears a locket , this must have been very unusual in the days before 1915
Mel,It seems ironic that all this family can be named except the young girl, who when you look at the family resemblence looks like the youngest daughter of Henry on the right who died aged 52.The mouth, nose, and eyes are identical so she must be on record some where.
1911 Census shows this family with an eight-year-old adopted daughter, Ellen Hayes. Depends when this photo was taken whether she could be the unnamed girl.
Thanks for that info Jackdog I never would have put this young girl as adopted considering the looks, and the fact that most family's then had large family's anyway, but it does appear to follow your observations.
I had an uncle Jack Farrimond from Pemberton do you know were this family originates ??. They may be a related to him.
HI All! Thanks for the comments. They lived New Springs, on Wigan Road and then after Henry died, in Olive Street. :-)
