Looks to be around the 1930's to me Christina. The ladies hats seem to be for that time...a time when we made events grand...like church bazaars etc.

I remember a Bill Fillingham who was a friend of my grandad and we used to go fishing with him
My grandfather William Fillingham lived at Crawford St Aspull
never in Ince to my Knowledge He had an allotment at the bottom of Crawford St
my grandfather was John Mears and he married a Gertrude Margaret Fillingham I wonder if she any relation to people in the photo
My father John William Mears was born on Wigan 1922 and we had relatives that used to live on Nevile Street My Grandfathers brother was Alonsa Mears and we used to call him Uncle Onsa My grandfather moved down to Shropshire during the depression and lived down here until he died 1968 at the age of 84 my uncle Tom used to work in the Lyons tea shop in wigan but have no idea were it was. My Grandmother Gertrude Margaret Fillingham (maiden Name)came from Warrington and all my dads brothers and sisters were registered at Wigan under her Maiden name was this the norml thing in twenties and thirties
