A photo from my grandfather's WW1 album. After the war Walter Hampson (10.11.1895 - 15.3.1974) became Company Secretary of the Central Wagon Co, Wigan, railway wagon owners, builders, repairers and financiers.
In his WW1 album are the following photos and some may feature Wiganers: B Coy 21st Divisional Train, A and B Coy Supply Dumps in France, Capt Beulah and Sgt Rees B Coy, QMS Bateson and RSM McDermott SS, Capt Cassidy B Coy - killed in action, officers of B Coy 21st Divisional Train, Capt Cutbill's dog Teddy, 21st Division Concert Party, Corpl J Murphy, Sydney Ferguson, Gerard Smith, James H Mather, Corprl A Hampson Military Police, John William Hampson Army , Thomas Oakes Hampson Royal Navy, Pte R Dyson.

What a brilliant photo. Gerard Smith, Thomas 0akes Hampson, John William Hampson & probably A. Hampson are all relatives of Walter.Sydney Ferguson is a Witness at the wedding of Walter and Elizabeth Ann
