That's a good looking group. I remember them all except John Dutton and the two Picton boys..

Great photo. I'd almost forgotten that Nenny Taberner used to have hair. Sorry Ken.

Great photo Eric. I remember them all so well and lovely to see a photo of Tommy Aspinall. They were a great team and I have good memories of watching them play along with Joan our Brents wife. Remeber once Joan smacked one of the opposing team with her brolly when he tackled our Brent very badly right in front of her LOL. Sadly Joan passed away 9 yrs ago but we still have a laugh about this incident when remembering the good times. Thanks for the memories.

I remember the incident well, Sue. I was sub that day and was stood right next to Joan. I think it was across the road from Ashton Town's ground, on the playing field?

I agree with the place of the 'brolly' incident Eric. We really were enthusiastic supporters you know LOL!!!

The brolly incident was in the Ashton Medal comptition. The games where played on Stubshaw Rec at the end of the season.

Remember this lot. This was just before Tommy Aspinall signed me for the Saturday team they formed. Played Sundays to. We were a hard team to beat. Had a great social life with the likes of Tabby Withy and Johnney Cunliffe. We worked hard and boy did we play hard.
