Amazing picture. What is even more amazing is just how little of it is left! Still my childhood home has stood the test of time and I can just about see my bedroom window from here.

Wonderful! I can just see the flat roof of the top storey flat in Eliot Drive where I lived in 1980.

i used to live in the maisonettes with the foundry behind. my grandma lived on top floor, we lived on first landing. 1972-1977

This is the only photo I've seen that shows the outside of my first home as a child from the outside. We lived at 110 Eliot Drive which was just left of centre on the first floor of the maisonette block. We lived there from 1976 to 1980 at which point we moved to (upmarket!) Platt Bridge. I've got a couple of shots that my dad took looking out from the flat which may be of interest, I'll try and post them soon.

It looks like it was taken from Huxley Place I used to live at No 23 Those are the garages down there, I used to play on the roof for hrs
